I had 8 cards - a combination of credit and customer loyalty - plus my company DL and IR card plus a few paper cards - medical and car insurance and more . And some cash. I haven't found a wallet that fits everything, is compact and has easy access to all items when needed. This wallet does just that. I have 7 credit and discount cards in a metal envelope. In the inside pockets I have DL and paper "maps". In my back pocket (this model no longer has an elastic band) I have my frequently used debit card, some folded cash and my company ID, which scans perfectly from this slot. It only lasted a week so I can't confirm its durability but it seems well made and I hope it will last a long time.
