There is a painted and varnished wooden 3 rung inner ladder that I was afraid of slipping off. I saw this and thought it might be my answer. I measured and cut the pieces I needed, removed the backing and placed it on the tree. You can remove it to set it up again, but do it right away. This stuff really sticks when you're done. Has significant sand to keep you in place. I will not use it barefoot. unless you have tough skin. lol. I am so happy with the results I got. I will add them to the old aluminum extension ladder and the wooden ramp that leads to the dock. As they claim, it is designed for outdoor use and is weatherproof. Let's see how it withstands wind, water and summer sun.
