Great for the price, but there are a few things to consider. alignment. This only matters if you're holding the iPad with one hand or using a wrist strap. I'm going to fix this by adding small velcro strips on the front and back so that when you open the case they stick together making it tighter and tighter. Second, the strap keeps the lid closed but interferes with the slots on the front of the case. I would have liked a little velcro strap to keep the lid closed and also to keep the pencil on the iPad for charging. These are the only real downsides to the coating. I've seen in some reviews that the corners don't match. This is how the case was designed so that the iPad can be properly inserted into the case. This is not a disadvantage. Also, the case only grips the outer aluminum portion of the iPad and does not touch the screen in any way. So as long as the screen protector doesn't touch the aluminum, it doesn't touch the case. Even if it touched aluminum I still don't see how it could be damaged. Overall I am satisfied with this purchase.
