I have had a home office for over 30 years. Previously, my second monitor was freestanding. I wanted to take it off my desk. Since my desk space is small, I only needed the monitor to swivel, not raise and lower it, so this monitor mount suited me perfectly and was economical. Now the space under my monitor can be used for binders and notepads. The only mounting issue I had was connecting the monitor to the bracket - I didn't notice it slipping into the bracket, not just the screws on the plate. This feature was not mentioned in the instructions. Plus, I installed it and was up and running within 20 minutes.
