Good buy but some design flaws

This house was bought in January 2019 so it has been used for about 10 months and has survived all seasons. The photos show what the house looks like now. Pros: - Our wild outdoor kitten comes in very handy during the colder months - Legs are slightly raised to keep snow away from the kitty - Looks great in our garden - Withstands some pretty inclement weather - Very easy to assemble. Cons: - Had to cut the sashes so the cat could push them through (not a big deal but definitely a design flaw) - After 10 months out no matter how much I scrub the house and sashes it's a little discolored and dirty. At this point, the valves are solid yellow. - No canopies over entry/exit points to allow moisture, dirt, leaves, etc. to get inside. DIY fixes: - I trimmed the wings like some previous reviewers to make them look more like small storage doors. Before assembling, I lined all the interior surfaces with spray adhesive and space blankets to better reflect the kitty's heat when in there. Keep most of the moisture and dirt out. I put old bath towels in the ground and just throw them away when they get too rough. I've tried straw, but the cat didn't take it that well - preferring to snuggle up in cozy blankets or towels. Also, the straw is incredibly dirty. Overall I would recommend this house if you have street/feral cats as there is nothing crazy or expensive about doing a DIY renovation. they are much easier to put back on.
