the cat agrees! I wasn't sure how our wall scraper would react to the new thing but he loves it. This pillow is so beautiful! It is so well made that it is aesthetically pleasing. All corners are rounded and ground. The sisal cover has a supporting wooden panel at the back and is inserted under the wooden frame at the front. Requirements for screws - there are! - smooth and beautifully done. The cushion shows such attention to detail that I thought I had an expensive piece of furniture and not a scratching post. There are no unpleasant odors, just the pure smell of wood. A soft ball tied to the pad is a nice touch. In fact, it was this ball that first caught my cat's attention. The pad solved the problem of my cat preferring to scratch a certain corner of the room. He was peeling off layers of paint. It was dirty and probably not good for the cat. Now he scratches at his new post. Plus, mounting it on the wall was a breeze. Highly recommended.
