This is a beautifully crafted solid wood set with a high gloss brushed finish, thick cardboard tubes with solid wood ends. The hammock has an oily double layer cotton fabric that can stretch over time, but when it gets too low I cut it to fit the teacher and wash it until it's down. Our cats have set up a racetrack in our house and go where we would rather not go. It helps us and them. You can still climb the wall with this kit while we protect our stuff. The kit comes with all the hardware needed for assembly and installation. You will need your own Phillips screwdriver. We put them on stilettos as our cats tend to jump on them at full speed. Our posts are about 2 feet apart, so I combine sets of these wall hangers and use wood battens or stringers to span the posts. Overall it's well made and if you attach the parts well to the walls it shouldn't be a problem in the long run. Hope that was helpful, thanks!
