Shortened in length. I still like them but won't be buying them again unless the sizing chart shows they fit my daughter's waist and have extra length as she grows. My daughter is very slim and it's hard to find something that fits her waist and is long enough. So please don't take my review too badly, only if you have a child who is very thin in waist and tall for their waist size, understand that they will shrink a little in length. We lost about an inch.
