Review on 🦷 Sensodyne Peppermint Toothpaste for Sensitive Teeth – Strengthen and Protect by Manjola Abrom

cleans well, updates in 1 month

Now I've added this toothpaste to my rotation to see how it does goes. Now I use about 8 different toothpastes for different reasons, gums, healing, whitening, remineralizing, cleaning. Some are better at something than others and I clean at least 3 times a day so I can get things done quickly. It's minty taste, clean taste and not too strong. Personally, I prefer peppermint, but it's hard to find, so it's peppermint. Cleans well, teeth get squeaky clean. I noticed the ingredients so it's on my rotation now. It does NOT contain SLS which causes the skin in the mouth to peel and become viscous. The fluoride in it is NOT a good stuff (tin fluoride which is also antibacterial), they added cheap sodium fluoride. Why? Well, let's see how it goes. Potassium nitrate is added to increase tooth sensitivity. I can't tell if it works or not because my teeth are not sensitive at the moment. It has helped me in the past when I needed it. If this paste doesn't work on your sensitivity right away, you can always dip your toothbrush in some L-arginine powder, then apply some of this paste and brush. L-arginine is an amino acid that helps with sensitivity (and plaque) but tastes very bitter but is fast acting. Instead of throwing away toothpaste, you can always add additives to make it work for you. As for toothpaste for sensitive teeth, I think arginine should automatically be included along with nanohydroxyapatite. That's what I call an "upgrade". I will update it in about a month after regular use. This is because I used other items that I initially liked and then after a month they failed and caused severe sensitivity. While I like it now, that could change in a month. For those of you who love sudsy toothpaste, this isn't it. SLS is the ingredient that makes the pastes foamy but also causes skin peeling, so it has been removed in this version. I like it.

Pros
  • Sensitivity toothpaste free of SLS, sulfates, artificial colors, parabens, triclosan or peroxide
Cons
  • Not as thick as other products
