looks good, sounds bad

available These are my first bone conduction headphones. Not sure what the intended effect is, but to me the sound is terrible. It's like a cheap radio playing in another room but with clarity coming from my face. It's weird and not at all ideal for listening to music. The only thing they are good for is maybe making calls or for those who really don't want to or can't put on headphones/ears/in-ears. I've used these for very early morning walks where I like to think of myself. But I can't use them. And not only because they sound terrible, but also because I can't wear a hat that covers my ears and the back of my head tightly because they get in the way. You also can't lie on your back or use a headrest, as those will also get in the way. A few more notes *) You're applying pressure when the speakers touch the face. I don't find it very convenient. And it will be a likely source of headaches and/or dizziness for some people. The discomfort can even increase when the speakers vibrate next to your face.*) They are not discreet. They have a larger driver and more power than regular headphones, so the people around you hear everything you hear. like getting an unnamed knock-off Walkman from the '90s) and press the speakers against your cheeks, next to your ears. What you hear is hardly close, but rather the same. The best I can say about these bone conduction headphones is that they look and feel like a quality product. I had high hopes for them when I opened the box and saw what appeared to be a well designed and made product. Kudos for using a USB-C charging port, too. I'm so about micro USB.

Pros
  • BONE CONDUCTION TECHNOLOGY - Sound travels through the cheekbones to the auditory nerve, eliminating the need to wear bone conduction headphones and allowing you to enjoy music safely. Bluetooth bone conduction headphones are lighter, only 37 grams (less than 1 ounce), for a more comfortable fit and clearer sound. Bone conduction headphones offer unmatched all-day listening comfort.
