I have used it as a very large litter box for pet rabbits. I used the lid as a table protector under a high table. I'm sure this won't help most people, but it might give you some "out of the box" ideas for using storage bins. This bin is not very tall and would probably be too small/short to use for storing clothes or bedding. Coloring books, crayons, storage boxes under the cot would be ideal. The lid closes easily with latches on the side.
