These cards appear to be made of teflon-coated sheet steel. They are so rigid that they cannot be shuffled into a bridge, even if the cards are split into 2 decks of 26 cards, they cannot be bent enough to be shuffled. They also appear to be coated with something like nylon or teflon. They are so smooth that if you place the deck on an uneven surface, the cards will simply slide off the deck. On the front of the card is a knitting pattern of threads in squares. I took the cards and folded and folded and folded and tried to soften them but to no avail. Thanks to the smooth plastic coating, they are said to be waterproof. They are nowhere near skilled enough to be skillfully manipulated. You can't fan them out because the cards need to be held with your hands, the surface of the card slips and slides as if oiled. These would be great cards for school children, they appear to be indestructible and waterproof with a thick nylon/plastic sleeve. Of course some kids will be disappointed that they can't play 52 cards with it as they can't bend down enough to turn them all over.
