I was looking to replace one of my speedometers on my ski boat and wanted to replace the GPS. I needed something that was waterproof, had large digital gauges, and would fit into one of the two existing water pressure powered speedometer holes in my dash without being overpriced. Reading the reviews I wasn't quite sure what I was going to get but in the end it was great. I installed a GPS receiver under the dashboard. Everything works great including night navigation lights. The color is red, but it is not critical. Other than that, I'm very happy with the result. Once on the lake, you'll get a GPS fix almost immediately after initial launch, within 10-20 seconds, even after repeatedly turning the engine on and off with skiers in the water. It's accurate enough for my use as I don't guide slalom skiers on the course, but combined with a traditional speedometer I suspect it will be accurate enough. The trip resets when the power is cut off, and there's also a non-resettable odometer and small compass. But all I really needed was a large digital GPS receiver. In general very satisfied!
