I have bought some SP110E which seem to be distant relatives of the SP608E. They were simple and worked very well. I bought the SP608E hoping to use it for my audio system. I am very satisfied with the functions of the device. The trigger functions are really cool, the effects are pretty good (including the fire effect, which is excellent for a finished device), and the remote works really well. Unfortunately, I didn't get to test my device until the return window was closed. Showstopper - is this device defective? The colors on the LED strips are constantly flickering. I tried different power supplies. Tried different LED strips. I even tried adding a resistor/capacitor to keep the voltage/signal stable. Bad luck. If you are willing to bet that the device you receive will work, this is a good bet. Alternatively, you can simply implement the best practices and test the product during the zz return period.
