Review on 🖱️ Corsair M65 RGB Elite - FPS Gaming Mouse - 18K DPI Optical Sensor - DPI Sniper Button - Removable Weights - White by Michael Wiley

No problem here - overall a great gaming mouse!

As this mouse has mixed reviews I wanted to use it for a while before writing a review. I've been using this mouse on my slot machine for 4 months now. I went with the white and black theme for my build and it looks great paired with the white version of the Corsair K70 keyboard which is why I bought it despite some mixed reviews. For the record, I'm a bit picky when it comes to mice. My main mouse that I use for day to day work is the Logitech MX Master 3 which is a pretty high end product so I'm comparing my experience with the M65 to the MX Master 3. BUILD QUALITY: Pretty solid overall. I haven't had any issues (so far) with the crashes in the click mechanism that others have reported. I haven't had any issues with input loss, mistyping, etc. The mouse is a bit light despite the weights that come with it, and feels a bit cheap due to the plastic used, but surprisingly holds up very well. I love the weight of the MX Master 3 and wish the M65 was a little closer to the Master in this regard, but that's more of a preference than anything. The braided cord is nice and thick and feels durable. All keys have a satisfying click without any "softness". I love the rubberized texture covering the sides and actually wish the whole mouse had that texture - it would feel better. The scroll wheel has a very nice and precise mechanism, again without the "softness" often associated with cheaper mice. Overall I haven't had any build quality issues and would say it's pretty solid. USE: Again, no problems on this front. Tracking is accurate and the ability to have multiple DPI presets is a big plus when you play a lot of different games, which is also made more enjoyable by the ability to customize presets in iCUE. I don't really need the "sniper" button on the left that reduces DPI on hold, but it works if you like it. RGB works well with Corsair's software and I've had no issues with iCUE, although I know this is a common complaint with Corsair's line of products. All surfaces are fairly easy to clean (even the rubberized parts), which is nice for keeping them in good condition. The RGB works as expected and is in line with the rest of the Corsair products. The mouse moves smoothly with the game bar I use. PROBLEMS: Not really - I'm very happy with this mouse. I had no problems. As I mentioned earlier, I've had no issues with lost clicks and no issues with the iCUE software, both of which seem to be major complaints about this mouse. GENERAL: This is a solid recommendation from me at this point. if you are looking for a white "gaming" mouse. It works as I would expect, with precise movement and some nice touches. My only real complaint is the relatively cheap feel due to the light weight and plastic textures used for much of the chassis. If Corsair updates this model I'm hoping for a heavier build - maybe other weights could be used? - and maybe the "rubber" of the whole body. However, I think it's a solid buy for the price. Very happy with my purchase! ** UPDATE MARCH 2021 ** Well, unfortunately I had the unreliable left click issue described in other reviews. It happened all of a sudden and the mouse wasn't damaged - just regular use. The click was ok, but a quarter to a third of the left clicks were not registered. I ended up just swapping out the mouse - a real bummer as I liked the white case as it blended in nicely with the rest of my system. It was so cheap I didn't even try to return it and to be honest this seems to be an underlying problem with the product and I didn't want to keep bumping into it. A mouse that dies after 12-18 months is not good. Downgraded to 3 stars.
