Love the backlit but doesn't always work

Thought my dad would benefit from a backlit keyboard case for his iPad - and he has. He really has enjoyed it. Now he doesn't need overhead lights or lamps on when he just wants to type. He enjoys using the different colors too. He's not really technologically inclined, so I did the set up and make sure it's charge. A few negatives: 1) so far I haven't figured out where to check battery status (don't think there is one), so I don't really know when it needs to be charged - and just plug it in every other night. Would prefer to be able to see the battery level is 2) Sometimes the keyboard just disconnects from the iPad. I have a series of easy steps I run through to fix it + so far at least 1 of my steps have worked. But if that happened and I wasn't home, my dad wouldn't be able to fix it himself. Not sure why this occurs - maybe our particular keyboard is messed up or maybe it's a wider issue 3) The case itself isn't that solid - it's not poorly made or anything like that - just that it is large + a little wobbly at the fold. I would still recommend because the benefits (for us) outweigh the negatives. And the price was reasonable.

Pros
  • Keyboard is easy to connect. All great! Nice lights.
Cons
  • The keyboard may not be ergonomic, leading to strain or discomfort
