Something I think anyone using ACDelco parts should know. Discard any paper spacers that came with the parts. Buy Felpro pads separately. ACDelco does not make gaskets and if they use an independent supplier they will have to divest them and merge with the Felpro Gasket Company. The paper gasket cost me a second disassembly because it failed. GM didn't even use a paper gasket when they installed the water pump from the factory. GM and Felpro are a type of thin metal coated with a gasket material. They work! Just fair warning if you are about to replace the water pump in Duramax. Watch YouTube videos, search and read forums to learn little tricks before accepting a job. Apart from the sealing problem, the pump is fine. hp Buy a Lisle 22100 tool, work smarter not harder, it's worth it.
