This wallet is very thin but looks like it will stand up to regular use. Even with more than one card in each pocket, it's not as thick as a more regular wallet with the same number of cards in it, and the pockets hold cards very well. Each pocket, with the exception of the plastic ID window, has an internal RFID security lining. I would say this would work well as a wallet for both men and women. As long as you're not trying to fit more than two cards in each slot, or a huge stack of cards or bills in the middle, there shouldn't be any problems and shouldn't get too thick or stretch out over time. Definitely something I would buy again and I also bought this as a gift for someone to use as a travel wallet.
