The stool is much higher than I expected. It's good for me because I keep it in the trunk and when I'm taking my mom for a walk and she's out of breath I can quickly get back in the car and get it for her to get in. We have another one, but it's so low that it's hard for her to sit on that high verse. The height also makes it more comfortable. The stool is pretty solid and I don't feel like it can't hold it securely. The legs sit flat and give good support.
