The front of the chair measures 20.5" high, which is slightly higher for most people. I'm 5'11" and it's still a bit tall for me. It works well for a person who is 6ft tall or taller. If you use a stool, it will also fit a smaller person (chair) and it would be better if it was tilted Quality is just ok about what you can expect for the price Took 45 minutes to assemble 30 minutes for the second chair My wife gave it three stars and commented that she didn't would buy if she sat in one of them in the store.I would give 3.5 stars if that was an option.The main reason is that the height of the chair is too high and the footstool too in relation to the height of the chair sitting low.With a pillow or blanket on the ottoman they are acceptable so we'll leave them for now.
