I sleep with a 6 month old baby. I'm a light sleeper but need bumpers for extra security and it saves space rather than using lots of pillows. We tried the mesh bed rails but they didn't work with our adjustable bed frame and were difficult to install. I bought 3 pcs. Bumper for our French bed. It's a bit short on the long sides of the bed but as we have pillows around our heads it was just right. A deep sheet metal is key to reducing bumper deflection (see pictures). Last night my little one rolled over a few times in her sleep and it saved her from falling off the edge. Of course, never leave the child alone with the pages for any length of time!
