I would not recommend this product for external use. It is very light and easy to deflate on a windy day. This has worked well for my outdoor cats who live in a shelter sheltered from the wind. This gave them the choice of extra protection in freezing temperatures. The cats preferred to scratch and rip out the insulation and they often lay upstairs rather than inside as I often found the enclosures flat. I probably won't buy them again, I would look for a suitcase that doesn't collapse. They served as entertainment for the cats, not as a fence to keep them warm. Maybe other cats would use them for their intended purpose, but not mine.
