Electrolux sent a service technician to install two of them to deal with one of the unbearable noises coming from my fridge. As a result, the sounds are muffled but still distinguishable. Sound; a (an exclamation lasting about 10 minutes during the day) can still be heard, although not as destructively as before. It doesn't "fix" what's causing the sound in the first place, instead trying to muffle the sound. There may not be a real solution as this may have to do with how the fridge was originally designed. If I can't get Electrolux to fix my problem anymore, I might buy another one or two of these mufflers and install them myself. Installation is quite simple: you need to remove the back panel of the freezer from the inside and wrap the damper around two horizontal pipes.
