Much easier to install than other LED headlights that require a mounting adapter. Installed it on a 17 GLI and instantly made the car much better at night, in addition to clearer and more distant lighting. Tip 1: Adjust the headlight protrusion when installing in a VW, as the driver's side is slightly lower than the passenger side. Tip 2: When installing on my GLI, a lightbulb error appeared on the dashboard. If you don't mind the bulb being on, skip this. A decoder is required to fix this. As a result I had to cut a hole in the dust caps to hold the decoder out of the case as the decoder itself gets hot. I've attached a picture to show my repair. Water does not enter the case and the lamp failure sensor is gone.
