This is the first Biddeford electric blanket I have ever bought and I have used electric blankets my whole life for 55 years. This is the first thing I've ever burned or risked my life, thank goodness the control box had a built in switch to shut off the power to the ceiling once it started to burn (or rather melt). After that, the controller will not work even if it is connected to other blankets with the same controller. Tried controlling the same model from other blankets as I thought the controller was faulty. He stopped working. Then, noticing that my satin sheet was burned, I pulled back the comforter and saw that the new sheets were damaged. The ceiling was broken.
