I would never go on tour without this gear. Always. I used it every month when I was touring, even in July for the cold high mountain passes. Small, fast heating and easy to connect to your bike, it is a necessary piece of gear to prevent fatigue from shaking. The smooth material makes it easy to layer over the top jacket and is about the thickness of a windbreaker, so you can easily layer them on top of each other. It folds into its own kangaroo pouch for compact travel, so there's no reason to leave it at home. The included remote control is a great safety feature, allowing you to set the heat to one of three levels without taking your eyes off the road too much. I wish the remote was smaller for a more comfortable fit, but that's the only issue. In short, if you're even looking at this item, you're driving in the cold and you should already have it. This extends the ski season.
