Review on Tulip Reverse Tie Dye Vibrant by Denise Davis

So this is my second time knitting tie-dye shirts. I bought this kit for me and two family members to knit shirts. It was enough for 3 shirts but I don't think it would be enough for more. We used the entire color for 3 shirts. Easy enough for my 7 year old and my mum and we had a blast! I would suggest watching some YouTube videos to understand how to tie shirts before you die. The set included lots of rubber bands and 3 pairs of gloves. We bought this kit during COVID19 and our shirts were white so we didn't use the bleach portion of this kit - we only used it as a tie dye kit as it was the only one available. I washed our new 100% cotton shirts in the washing machine with no soap or fabric softener and as soon as she finished spinning we immediately started tying the shirts. (The shirts weren't dried - they were freshly laundered and damp when we started). Then we applied a lot of color (especially the 7 year old who colored the striped shirt in the pics lol). Wrap in saran wrapping material and place in a gallon ziplock bag (not included). Then set it aside for 24 hours to "cure". After 24 hours I rinsed them in the sink with cold water until the water ran clear and cut off the rubber bands. Then I put them in the washing machine cold with detergent and some great fabric softener. In the photo of the shirt after washing and drying, the color is very bright and looks great! I will definitely be buying more sets when they become available. With these sets you don't need soda etc - the set comes with everything you need except shirts, plastic bags/napkins and a plastic tablecloth. Easy and so much fun to do with kids and adults!
