About a year ago I was staying at the Marriott Hotel where I wanted to take my bed home. When I got home I did a search and was happy to see that this item was advertised as being used by Marriott. I don't know what type of mattress was on the bed, but that quilt/pillowcase top is definitely an important comfort item. This quilted mattress pad allowed me to continue using the King mattress after it became uncomfortable and dented. slept. I have fibromyalgia and other joint issues and find it difficult to sleep comfortably. This mattress topper really helps by providing a layer of quilted pillow as a barrier on top of the mattress. He retains his "puffiness". I'm finally getting a new memory foam mattress—a queen—so I'm buying new sheets. I also ordered one of these for a new bed. I feel like this is a staple for me now. I will update my review as I evaluate how it compares to memory foam versus a traditional box spring. I have high hopes. This product is very well made. I've been using my king size for about 9-10 months and it's still as good as when I first put it on. You will definitely notice a positive difference in the comfort of your mattress. For me, this quilt is worth the price. Others were a waste of money. I can even imagine putting a second one on the bed to make it even softer! If you're prone to pain from the pressure on the mattress, you'll understand. UPDATE: After writing this review, I came across another product from this company and reviews about it. This is a "very thick" bamboo mattress topper with 30% more padding than the model I bought. The reviews are great! I can only imagine how great it is and have contacted their support team about the exchange. I didn't even unpack the first one because the new mattress wasn't here yet. Excellent customer service. They emailed me a prepaid shipping label to return this for a full refund and I ordered a very thick one which would be shipped the same day as the mattress. I think the price difference will be worth it.
