I wish I had found them sooner
A good size hook and hanging it from the bottom of a shelf or in a closet is often a great idea and works in many places. I wish I had had her sooner. I usually pre-drill a small hole and use shorter screws than the ones provided to make sure they don't damage the shelf. I recommend something like #6 x 5/8" screws. The ones they offer are almost an inch long, which is too long for many shelves and is usually overkill.
