One of our cats will occasionally urinate on almost anything on the floor - clothes, paper, dog toys and so on. We have Bissell Little Green which is good for quick, flat stains but hard-to-clean carpets. I decided it was time to invest in something that was actually made for carpet cleaning. This guy had good reviews and a good price so I decided to give it a try. So far I'm very happy with them! If you look at the photos you can see: 1) how much dirt came out of the carpet after one cleaning; 2) what a section of the carpet looked like before cleaning; 3) the same area of the carpet immediately after cleaning. You can still see some spots but they have improved a lot and I think after another pass or two the remaining spots will come out - and since the spots are about a year old it's not that bad. For reference: We all have Berber carpets. Pros: Lightweight, easy to assemble, easy to load and unload, easy to use and does the job well. Cons: Only covers 10-15 square feet per clean water tank (but easy to charge, which doesn't really bother me), awkward to clean the brush and brush compartment (as some other reviewers have pointed out, you have to unscrew five screws to get that opening the brush compartment, and then removing the strap from the brush itself, removing everything and cleaning.) To me, the pros of this little thing definitely outweigh the cons! As for cleaning the brush, I just mashed the rag behind the brush and it cleaned up most of the crap. As another reviewer mentioned, emptying the dirty water tank completely is difficult, but since the only thing that comes back is more dirty water, I don't mind. And now, when we catch our cat committing a crime, we can just quickly run it over the spot and get it right away. A NOTICE. If you overflow the recovery tank, the spray and vacuum functions will stop working! It's not broken - just empty the recovery tank and it's like new. As someone who plans to ALWAYS have pets, I am very happy with this machine. I'd rather fill up twenty times than rent a big car and tow it or pay someone to come and clean it!
