After trying out the giant heated braziers for our big family holiday meals, I packed it up and decided to try these electric versions that don't require an open fire or hot water. They worked so well I bought six of them. For the reasonable price I bought them for I think this is a smart switch. They are compact and easy to store and set up. They are very easy to put in the dishwasher (bowls and lids) and put away next time. You can also prepare food in bowls. The heat is even throughout the base so you can't adjust it individually for each tray, but otherwise it's fully controllable. You can also use the trayless base for larger containers like your own pots or a large snack pan - or whatever. The heating elements in the Proctor Silex food warmers kept our buffet meals including casseroles, meats, vegetables and biscuits at a good temperature for safety and to serve hot food even the second time we all served hot food. .
