I really wanted to love these, they had good reviews and everything, but they are a disappointment.The springs used in these are very weak.Although they are not made for stretching, good shoe trees have strong springs to straighten the shoe and return it to a better shape after use.This is not accomplished with these. The spring is very weak and does not stretch the shoe enough.I ordered medium, perhaps I should have ordered large?Not sure if I would buy again, though.Also: They smelled great, but I soon found out the smell was artificial and not the original smell of the wood. Not a reason to knock stars off, but I don't like what they did there. It is more honest to simply let the wood be.Overall build quality is good, but they just don't do what they are supposed to do.I will update if I decide to order larger.
