I used to use a desk mic that I had to pick up and hold in front of my face to be heard. But for that I can just put it behind the keyboard and speak. It's very comfortable and the sound quality is excellent. The microphone has two modes and controls for the headset (yes, you can connect a headset with a 3.5mm jack on the back) and microphone volume. It is very comfortable. I should note that the microphone is not very adjustable. The microphone can be easily tilted up and down, but it cannot rotate on a tripod because it is screwed. However, the tripod can be unscrewed. The mic comes with a USB-A to Micro-USB cable that connects the mic to the computer, but the connection on the back of the mic doesn't seem very solid. I recommend anyone who wants to use this to be extra careful with the connection so the micro USB end doesn't break.
