My husband and I recently moved to Florida and brought my 90 year old mother with us. Your bedroom is conveniently or less conveniently - depending on the situation - on the opposite side of our house. This is great for marital privacy, but not so great if she needs something or has an emergency. Last week she fell into the bathroom early in the morning before I woke up. She called, but neither I nor my husband heard her. Luckily a friend came to visit and was in the spare room across from her room. She heard my mother calling for help and we got her out of there. Log in to the CallToU pager system. We didn't need anything complicated, just something with a portable button that she could press to call our bedroom in an emergency. Note: This is not a two-way radio, just a button alarm system. The main unit plugs into an outlet and plays a variety of tunes. I preferred the soft sound of a doorbell to a catchy tune. There is a strap attached to the button that she can put on when she goes to the bathroom before anyone wakes up and keeps it on her bedside table at night. Luckily we haven't had to use it yet, but it gave me a lot of confidence that she could just press that button and call for help without trying to yell or get anyone's attention. I hope she never has to use it as such, but I feel a lot better knowing that I'll wake up when she needs help. For the price, you can't beat this simple little push button PA system.
