I need this urgently. Specific goal and it works! It's pretty picky though. I wanted to capture gameplay from older consoles and be able to stream video/audio to my capture card and connect my headset to an HDMI to VGA converter. So I needed an HDMI splitter. For some reason, videos from old consoles wouldn't go through the splitter I already had, so I needed a simpler one. This one was cheap so I gave it a try. It works for my purposes, but oddly I have to connect the HDMI to VGA converter to a specific port on the splitter or it won't work the way I want it to. k. But once I found the right port, everything went smoothly. There were a few video flickering issues when I first got it, but I unplugged and plugged it back in and it's been fine ever since. I'll update this review when the flickering returns. I've also seen a lot of negative feedback from people who seem to be trying to use this as a dual input, single output device. However, this is not the case. This device is designed to transmit video and audio over HDMI from 1 device (Console, Roku, etc.) to 2 different screens/monitors/TVs.
