I didn't realize how much the platform sole helps to prevent pain in the legs (knee, foot, ankle, etc.). 2015. I ordered them because I knew from more than 4 years of experience that shoes made to European or Asian specifications are ALWAYS – ALWAYS – too big for North American feet Shoe bought from a foreign seller. How do I know? Because in 2015 a major US retailer offered braided stretch shoes for 1/4 brand value (B**** M**) and the toe box of this cheap shoe was narrower than European/Asian sizes. These shoes are AWESOME. If you order them with its usual North American size, you will return them because they are too big. Order them and start loving them, but order at least 1/2 size smaller or even a whole size smaller depending on how well your foot fits your normal North American size.
