Before I decided on the Sony DSC WX80/B I spent a lot of time looking for point and shoot digital cameras. This is my third digital camera and I am very satisfied. My $400 Olympus Stylus 1200 broke down after a few years and cost $200 to fix. My Nikon Coolpix was $90 but took blurry pictures. This little Sony, the size of a deck of cards, takes very sharp and clear photos with a Carl Zeiss lens. The battery life seems to be longer than my other cameras. It's easy to switch to video. The surprise was the simplicity of this Wi-Fi camera and the quick way to use my photos straight away on my Sony Tablet S. I have many Sony products and am very happy with the quality of each one. This camera was a steal. I also bought a Wasabi 2 battery and charger, although this camera comes with a Sony battery for in-camera charging. A high quality memory chip, PNY 16GB, 90MB/s transfer rate, was also purchased separately for fast photo playback. This camera has a burst shooting function which I have not tried. When taking photos in normal or telephoto mode, there is a one to two second delay between photos. The zoom is impressive for such a small camera. I mainly use this for sporting events and some wildlife. Very clearly the action freezes. The Wi-Fi function has become a necessity for me, very convenient. Many more functions. Highly recommended.
