The announcement did not say that there were ruffles. At first I was very disappointed, but this is where the rubber band sits, and without it it would not be possible to install many different hands. I've learned to love it. I wore them to the prom in the winter and they really kept me warm when I went out. I also thought that I would get bored with them and wear them 2 minutes and then have to wear them all night but I wore them all the time. I'm tall in women's gloves and there was some room. I'm 5'8 and 245 so there was a lot more room in the ruffle. They may have fallen a little, but it didn't last.
