Review on Disney Frozen II Plastic Toddler Bed by Delta Children by Tom Lawson

Revainrating 4 out of 5

My daughter is so proud of her large crib

I have to admit I was scared taking my 2 year old from crib to crib. In many ways, this crib has put my mind at ease. It's only 8 inches off the floor so my daughter can get in and out. When assembled, it is very durable. I believe it's rated at £50. The frame of this bed is made of aluminum with a plastic headboard, footboards and handrails. There is a crossbar in the middle, but the mattress is mainly supported by the fabric. It's almost like a toddler military bed that you put a crib mattress on top of. Speaking of the mattress - it's not. It uses a standard sized crib mattress (much smaller than a double bed) so you'll need to replace your crib's mattress or get a new one. The plastic rails are very firmly connected to the frame. They take up about 1/3 of the length of the bed. At first I thought they were primarily for decoration, but they are definitely strong enough to keep a tossing toddler from falling. My daughter often grabs it for balance when standing up. I've tried to stop it but my daughter is obsessed with freezing. She loves the movie very much and loves this bed. I think Anna and Elsa helped make the transition to a crib so easy. Moms and Dads, read that again. The transition to this bed was EASY! It took a sleep to get used to the new environment. Now she loves it. She seems to find it easier to calm down, And if for some reason she decides to wake up early in the morning - before I wake up. She gets up and grabs a book or toy to play with instead of getting upset that she's in bed. There are several reasons why I lowered the score: 1. It was very difficult for me to collect myself. The fabric part stretches a lot and I need the help of a gorilla - I mean my husband will finish assembling it. 2. The one I received had a scratch that started to rust. It's on the back of one of the legs, so I covered it with clear nail polish to keep oxygen from getting in. 3. Anna and Elsa bits are stickers and you need to stick them by yourself. It is very difficult to make them perfectly straight and without bubbles.

  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Sad packaging
