Better for sunny, windy places

We bought several different brands and antenna types before buying two of them (house, barn). We, as they say, "cut the cable". We live in a valley about 60 miles from Las Vegas, in a valley of our own. There are more than 12,000 feet of mountain between us. Depending on the weather, we can record about 24-25 channels. That is very good for us. BUT, the main reason I put it in the first place is the mount. Not cheap, flimsy, plastic. We live in southern Nevada. The winds can be fierce. The "other" brand has a wobbly gray plastic mount that, no matter how you tighten the screws, wobbles in winds over 40 km/h. We often have wind forces of 50+. Wind isn't the only concern when it comes to flimsy plastic living just minutes from Death Valley. Cloudless summer - 112 degrees. Plastic doesn't last long in the Nevada sun. For the price and where we need them, they're great!
