Review on πŸ”Œ Sintech 24pin to SATA Adapter with USB SATA Cable, Designed for Compatible SSD from MacBook Air Pro 2012 Year (Not Compatible with SSD from 2013-2015 Year) by Sean Zamora

Sockets work best with SATA cables

The blue and red LEDs on the SATA connector are lit, but nothing else happens. I tried 15 different SSDs and nada. Update after a few days. They sent a new one, it works. It only took me a few days to get a new one. It gets the job done, but please note that it's only for hard drive testing or data recovery! This adapter offers maximum read and write speeds of 40MB/s. The drives can handle several hundred MB/s, so if it were USB 3.0 it would make sense as an external drive too. However, at current speeds, this has only one specific application.

Pros
  • SATA cables
Cons
  • disappear
