The product does what it's designed to do and looks good. We recently bought a new boat for ourselves and needed a way to plug it into our home outlet for battery charging and other shore power functions. This simple o-ring adapter works well and from the pictures it looks like it can be used two ways. We're going from a 15a socket to the boat, but you could also screw it and the weather collar directly to the power connector and then use a standard extension cord. In marinas I have seen this in many cases. Time will tell but I'm impressed with the build quality and the speed of delivery.
