I personally found a regular pillow to be a bit prickly. That's why I got the cover. The coating glides perfectly, I had no problems as many other reviewers have said. It has some warmth in it so would be great to have in winter. But now, in the summer, I'm just hot. However, the pillow itself is quite thin, so I actually use a cover because I add more fiberfill to the cover to make the pillow a bit thicker. But I washed it, dried it without problems, dressed well. So it's definitely something together if you've ever thought about buying this pregnancy pillow. I've had this pillow for about seven months now, the pillow itself is excellent, I've had the cover for a few months and it continues to work great, I've washed it and dried it in a regular dryer on medium heat and it doesn't seem to have the fabric in it not to have stretched or deteriorated in any way but I have washed it, dried it with no problems and it slides perfectly. So it's definitely something together if you've ever thought about buying this pregnancy pillow.
