Exactly what I needed!

Where I live in San Francisco, we experience power outages due to fires and heatwaves that push power to the limit, and turning off the power helps. However, when power isn't available and the fan can't be turned on, as well as during periods of extreme heat, having a battery-powered fan is what I need to survive outages. Works great, has 3 settings for how long the fan is used and 3 settings for desired cooling performance. This is a great little fan and I love it. Worth every penny.
