Review on 🐠 Aquarium Ascent LED Kit 10g by Crystal Jenkins

Clean looking tank.

Got 10 gallons for Christmas so we can give our dick a bigger house. The tank comes with a decent little filter that you can place anywhere in the tank and there are LEDs built into the lid. On the positive side this is a beautiful tank - very clean build, very clear glass. He stands on pedestals that lift him off the table, which I really like. Also, the back is black, which is great for hiding cables and anything behind them. The cover is not hinged at the bottom, so during maintenance you must turn off the light, wipe the cover and set it aside. When you turn on the heater, the water evaporates and condenses on the lid, requiring the lid to be dried and cleaned every time you remove it. The top of the hood is painted black where the headlights are located so the headlights and wiring are not visible from the outside of the tank. I have some cheap plants there but I'm 90% sure I'll be replacing the lights in the next few months. The other downside is that the top of the tank slopes forward. So if you want to upgrade your lights you will need a lantern that mounts to the back wall - lights on the sides will not work for this tank due to the tilt angle. . The stock lights are useless to the corals if you keep a reef aquarium. It works for me, although our betta seems happy to have the extra space and looks great in our living room. Lighting is a simple on/off switch, no built in timer, no white/blue settings. The light is white. If you set it up exactly as packaged, you'll need two free power outlets nearby. One for the headlights and one for the filter.

Pros

Cons
