Leg broke off after 6 months

We really liked the height for our 2 year old. They fit perfectly under our coffee table (we bought 2). But today he sat on it, and the leg broke off at the base, exposing the pointed end of three screws. Looking more closely at the damage, I would say that the angled design of the leg-seat connection is not designed to take the strain. He only used them to sit. As this has happened with normal use, I would not recommend them for young children. The second is used as a plant stand.
