Revain's description of them used to say they were waterproof, water-resistant, and waterproof, which usually mean different things. They've now given up repellents (and changed size descriptions to match reality, which is a good thing). Now it says 34x31, which it actually is. They look large for a medium-sized woman and apart from the zipper opening on the left instead of the right, the difference to the men's cut is hardly noticeable. My waist is actually 34 inches inside and can expand another inch or so. There are no belt loops, but there are a pair of velcro straps on the sides that allow the pants to be pulled an inch or two tighter, so I'd say they fit waists from 32" to 35-1/2" comfortably. They extend down from the bottom seam of the waist (where the bottom of the belt would go if there were loops) 12 inches, but only 3 inches below the pocket opening, so they appear small.
