We have a 10-15 year old Kitchen Aid dishwasher that came with the same cutlery tray. After a few years the bottom holes started to wear down and open up as people put things like KNIVES in them blade down! I've repaired torn holes with zip ties (works great) but I just got sick of it. Not only is this tray a perfect size, but it also has 3 folding shelves (original had 2) on top for people to set knives properly and protect the floor from cuts! It's well made and I'm pretty sure it will last the rest of the time we have this dishwasher and I don't need to waste my time and zip ties on things like this!
