Good upgrade bulbs for LED bulbs

I don't know if they really are as bright as they claim but they are still very bright. I was a little worried they would be TOO bright but they are are great for my ceiling fan in the kitchen. I believe my fixture was designed for two 40 watt candelabra based incandescent bulbs which I never used in it because I needed more light. I've used several different LED candelabras over the years with varying degrees of success. It's a compact indoor light and often runs for hours so I was quite happy with a year's break from a few bulbs. They are definitely the brightest bulbs I have ever installed in this fixture and they are also the largest. They barely fit in the jar lid. Typical candelabra bulbs are in an open socket and size would not be an issue, but if they were 1/4 inch longer I would have issues. So far these pears seem great. Get more durability out of them. I'll let you know if they burn out in a few months. They appear to be the same diameter as regular incandescent bulbs and should fit nicely in a typical candelabra fixture, but they are at least 1/2 inch tall. longer than the standard sized bulbs (pictured) so if you're cramming them into a tight space like me, you can see exactly how much space you have.

Pros
  • Bulbs
Cons
  • Requires socket
