Beautiful Little Lavalier Microphone System

I'm a bit new to using lavalier mics, so my review is not a comparison to other products on the market, just feedback from newbies. Overall I really enjoyed using this microphone system. beautiful; It's intuitive, works as expected and the sound quality is excellent. I spent a few minutes studying the instructions that came with it and was able to figure out how to work with all the controls pretty quickly. There are only a few buttons and they are all pretty clear and easy to learn. The screens are bright, clear and intuitive. The transmitter and receiver units are compact and lightweight. All the necessary cables are included - the only adapter I needed was to connect to an iPhone, which for obvious reasons doesn't come with it (and which I already had, having worked with other external (non-leaf) mics would have). The transmitters will automatically pair with the receiver - I understand there's a manual pairing option if needed, but I didn't have to fiddle with it. The devices arrived partially charged and I fully charged them prior to use, which took 30 minutes max. Charging is easy with the 3-in-1 USB cable, and the batteries seem to hold a charge well during use. Batteries tend to drain slightly over time when off (going from about 70% to 20% in a couple of weeks), so they should be charged just before use. Audio recording on iPhone worked fine (using an adapter which as mentioned above is not included). I've tried recording with the built-in mics in the transmitters as well as external mics and both have excellent sound quality. I was surprised at how well the built-in mics worked, although the voices sounded a bit clearer/clearer when using external mics. I've experimented with different gain levels on the two transmitters; The settings are easy to change and read on the receiver box. I tried using the "Low Cut" feature by recording an air conditioner running at full blast next to a window on a 90°F day and admittedly I didn't notice much of a difference in quality. noise reduction conditions; This was a fairly limited test with very loud fan noise, others may notice a big difference from other low frequencies or thinner noise. In any case, I won't make a habit of recording audio alongside loud fan noise, so it doesn't bother me. I am very happy with my new lavalier mic system and look forward to using it again!

Pros
  • Optional 150Hz Low-Pass Filter: The optional 150Hz low-pass filter function can filter out certain low-frequency noises such as wind, air, and traffic noise for clear sound. The gain control of this streaming microphone ranges from 0 to 5, making it easy and efficient to optimize signal levels.
